Having played over three years together as a group and with three albums to their name, the Paul Shinn Trio has been delighting audiences in the Denver and Kansas City areas with their sound which has been described as having “…evolved from exceptional precociousness to borderline greatness.” (03/16: PlasticSax.com) Now, as Paul spreads his wings and departs from the Colorado music scene, he has augmented his trio of Ryan Lee and Dominique Sanders with two of the finest young musicians in jazz today — Logan Richardson (Paris, France — Blue Note Records) on alto saxophone and Gabriel Mervine (Denver, CO — the Motet) on trumpet — in order to record his fourth album. With an entire set of brand new music, the group is looking to continue the “…spirited, seamless, and innovative” (04/16: JAM Magazine) energy from its January 2016 release “Into That Good Night”.
