Live at KUVO: Jason Klobnak Quintet | Oct. 7
The Jason Klobnak Quintet will perform live in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio October 7 from 7 to 8 PM MT.
Klobnak will be joined by Elijah Samuels (tenor saxophone), KUVO 30 Under 30 artist Stephen Thurston (piano), Kim Bird (bass), and KUVO 30 Under 30 artist Paul Mullikin (drums).

A versatile trumpet player, Klobnak is an active musician, author, clinician, composer and educator. His band, The Jason Klobnak Quintet (JKQ) is made up of high-caliber musicians known for their professionalism and versatility.
The JKQ brings an infectious energy, warmth and distinct sound to the jazz experience. They recorded their second full-length album in 2015, New Chapter, in part thanks to the Pathways to Jazz Grant from the Boulder County Arts Alliance.
Their first album, Mountain, Move, made #4 on the iTunes® Jazz Charts list in its first week of release. It also made the Best Recordings of 2013 list from AllAboutJazz.com by C. Michael Bailey.
Besides the JKQ, Klobnak has played and recorded for numerous groups throughout Denver, CO and Des Moines, IA ranging from jazz, indie-rock/pop and gospel.
Klobnak holds a bachelor degree from Drake University and a masters from the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music. Klobnak is currently an adjunct professor and brass instructor at Arapahoe Community College.
