Live at KUVO: Dru Heller Quintet | Jan. 15

Jazz drummer Dru Heller will perform with his quintet live in the Phyllis A Greer Performance Studio January 15 from 5 to 5:30 PM. 

The quintet will perform music by the late, great trumpeter Kenny Wheeler as well as original music by Heller.

Heller’s quintet features Josh Reed (trumpet), Heath Walton (saxophone), and KUVO 30 Under 30 artists Annie Booth (piano) and Patrick McDevitt (bass).

Originally from Spokane, Washington, Heller moved to Colorado in 2013 to pursue a Master’s degree in Jazz Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Colorado-Boulder. 

Since graduating, Heller has maintained a busy schedule as a freelance musician in the Denver jazz scene. Besides leading his own quintet, Heller plays in bands led by Don Byron, Art Lande, Jeff Jenkins, and others.
