Celebrate Women’s History Month with las comadres de Canción Mexicana!

Throughout March, Canción Mexicana will highlight the great music created by las mujeres de la musica de Mexico, Tejas, Nuevo Mexico, y Colorado.

Starting Sunday, March 7,  Yolanda Ortega host the show with her comadres Mona Lisa and Debra. They will present a stellar playlist featuring women…our legends and contemporaries….who have contributed to La Musica Mexicana.

Also on Sunday, Canción Mexicana unveils a new segment of Nuestras Tradiciónes Musicales featuring the incomparable Yolanda del Rio. Dr. Lorenzo Trujillo provides the intriguing biography and music of the classics that Yolanda del Rio made her own.
