La Raza Rocks — Dia de Los Muertos
Although the ancient holiday is called Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) this tradition which began with the Aztec Civilization and continued in the Americas is, in reality, a celebration of life.
El Dia de Los Muertos recognizes that life and death are all one journey and continuum that we all follow. It is a holiday that recognizes our ancestors and our connection to them.
You hear “La Llorona by Concrete Blonde y Los Illegals,” “Muerto, Canta, Toca, Baila” by The B-Side Players, “Angelita” by Sarah Fox & Joel Guzman, and many others.
Host Pocho Joe will play songs about death, life, and our existence on Sunday, October 31, at 1 pm. Let’s celebrate!!
