Kyle Eastwood Band Jazz Dinner Show | Sept. 17
Eastwood has established himself as a formidable bassist and composer, having recorded his first of nine albums 17 years ago and continuing his dual career with film scoring.
Currently, Eastwood is celebrating his latest recording - Time Pieces, on the Jazz Village label – as a leader. Through this album, Eastwood reconnects with his listening roots as a teenager when he was inspired by the great jazz quintets of the late 50’s and 60’s, such as Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers with Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter and the great quintets that Miles Davis put together during the 60’s. You can hear the spirit of those collaborations in this new music.
Eastwood is joined on this North American tour by his UK bandmate and collaborator, pianist Andrew McCormack, who is a rising star in his own right and now performing regularly on the New York jazz scene. In addition, drummer Joe Strasser, trumpeter Alex Norris and saxophonist Jason Rigby return to the stage
