KUVO’s Signature Fundraiser – a smash hit!

A HUGE thank you to all those who came to the 17th Annual KUVO Live at the Vineyards last Saturday.  Many of you told us it was your first time at Live at the Vineyards, and others said they couldn’t wait to get back to the night of music, wine, and food again.  Maybe it was that pent-up demand that sold out the event almost three weeks early.  Again, thanks to you, it was the party of the year!

Maybe it was the headline entertainment from pianist Oscar Hernandez and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra.  We noticed that the dance floor was full all night long. Some of us are still swaying to the magic of the music!

This year’s gala was also made possible with the support from our host Balistreri Vineyards, which bottled three KUVO signature wines, still available for you to purchase. This year’s Presenting Sponsor, AC-REP,  “Invested in Greater Adams County” helped make the KUVO party one of many exciting events held each summer in Adams County, Colorado.

And we know you will enjoy your complimentary wine glass, sponsored by Dazzle Denver.  We are grateful for their ongoing investment in KUVO, and we would like to congratulate Dazzle Denver on its move to a new location later this year.

In case you missed it, we recognized Carlos Lando’s 50-plus years in the radio business, and his retirement from his management role this year.  Fortunately, Carlos will continue to be your weekday host on “The Morning Set” from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. on KUVO Jazz.

Congratulations, Dave Hammond from the Denver School of the Arts, the first recipient of the Carlos Lando Colorado Music Educators Fund! Thank you to Williams Dental Implant & Oral Surgery for underwriting a special financial gift to Dave and the Denver School of the Arts in recognition of this award.

Now to the food award!  The 2022 People’s Choice award goes to… (drum roll)…

Congratulations to Flavor of Tabasco, the winner of the Live at the Vineyards 2022 People’s Choice award. This year’s Runner-up was Walter’s 303 Pizzeria & Publik House.  Always popular, in third place was Little Man Ice Cream! Thank you to all of the participating restaurants for making this year the most delicious year yet!
