KUVO Studio Club gets the Blues with the David Booker Band | Feb 24

KUVO Studio Club gets the blues when the David Booker Band shows up to play live in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio on Saturday, February 24 from 4pm to 5pm on “All Blues” with host Sammy Mayfield! The David Booker Band is: David Booker Band David Booker – Guitar and vocal, Devin Jobson – Bass, Greg Worthington – Tenor  saxophone and Adreas Schmidt – Drums and percussion.

Currently David plays about 22-25 dates a month, as a solo act, a duo, and band. He is promoting his single “Gimme Back My Mojo” which is getting airplay in Colorado and the U.K. right now. Originally from Manchester U.K. he came over here in 1981 and has been playing music ever since. David Booker is a 3-time Best of Westword winner in the Blue category.

He has backed Billy Branch, Frankie Lee, Bo Diddley, Rufus Thomas, Jimmy Witherspoon, Sir Mack Rice, Solomon Burke, Dr. John, Edwin Starr, The Drifters, Del Shannon, Paul (Manfred Mann ) Jones, Britain’s own Dave “The Crying Game” Berry Jorma Kaukonen, Dan Fogelberg, has opened for Los Lobos, Koko Taylor, Albert Collins, John Mayall, Country Joe McDonald, The Blasters, Delbert McClinton, Rare Earth, and Commander Cody and possibly a few more.
