KUVO Studio Club: Felonius Smith Trio | August 14

KUVO Jazz welcomes the Felonius Smith Trio on Tuesday, August 14 at 6 pm to the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio when they will perform live in front of a Studio Club Audience. Historic delta blues, country blues, and folk blues – Felonius Smith Trio perform prewar blues music at its most authentic. With slide-resonator guitar, double bass, sousaphone, and harmonica, the trio takes us back to a time when original bluesmen were pioneering a new style of music. Geoff Anderson will be hosting this performance/interview in front of a Studio Club audience; the program will be recorded live but aired during All Blues.

Members: Jeff “Felonius” Smith – Resonator slide guitar, guitar, mandolin, vocals; Scott Johnson – upright bass, sousaphone, vocals; and Steve Sheldon – harmonica, rub board, vocals

New CD: Bucking The Blues. Release date 7/28/2018. Recorded live-in-concert at the Buck Recreation Center in Littleton, CO in February 2018.
