KUVO is LIVE from Dazzle: Dave McMurray Trio

“Detroit Week” kicks off at Dazzle at Baur’s in Denver with a two-night engagement from the Dave McMurray Trio on Tuesday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 27. And, KUVO is thrilled to broadcast the first set from the Motor City saxophonist on Tuesday night, March 26 at 7:30 pm!

A Detroit-based saxophonist, Dave McMurray is widely known for his accompaniment to Was (Not Was) projects, B.B. King, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, and others. But his 2018 Blue Note album “Music is Life” is brimming with power, fluent melodicism and tons of swagger. McMurray plays tenor and soprano saxes with funky, bluesy, swinging mastery on all 12 tracks of both original compositions and a standout version of the White Stripes “Seven Nation Army.”

Rodney Franks and Geoff Anderson will host this exclusive broadcast engagement with the Dave McMurray Trio, on the next “KUVO is LIVE from Dazzle,” on Tuesday night, March 26 at 7:30 pm, only on KUVO Jazz.
