Kent Burnside & The Flood Brothers | Mar 22 & 23
Performer Kent Burnside was born into the blues. Grandson of legendary blues man R. L. Burnside. Born in Memphis and raised in Mississippi, Kent learned from the masters. Carrying on in the Burnside family tradition, Kent is known for playing high energy, exciting blues shows around the world, keeping the South’s tradition of scratchy, rolling blues alive.
At Dazzle, Kent is teaming up with local duo The Flood Brothers who are a two man THUMP MACHINE and their infectious melodies and animal rhythms will have your bones shakin’ outta your boots! The Flood Brothers are heavily influenced by the early Rock ‘N Roll sounds of Memphis and Deep Blues of North Mississippi. Gabe Meyer and Jacob Best add their own bent to the boogie that could only come from the muddy banks of the mighty Mississippi River. Now based out of Columbia, Missouri Gabe and Jacob grew up in Hannibal, Missouri.
Kent Burnside and the Flood Brothers have played together for a decade but they recently teamed up for their first joint effort album, titled “Kent Burnside and the Flood Brothers.”
