Join KUVO & Spangalang Brewery for a Jazzy Beer Release Party | Dec. 11

Spangalang Brewery  – located in Five Points at 2736 Welton St. – is hosting a soiree to celebrate the release of three new beers Friday, December 11 from 5:30 to 10 PM.

They’ll be tapping an English Dark Mild Ale, a Cranberry Session, and a firkin of the Mild ale while grooving to tunes courtesy of KUVO!

KUVO’s Music Director and Lunchtime at the Oasis host, Arturo Gómez, will be providing a deejay set for the evening, featuring his custom blend of fun jazz, soul, funky jazz, finger-poppin-toe-tappin jazz with some fusion soul to boot – a perfect pairing for Spangalang’s latest brews:

The English Dark Mild Ale is a subtle spin on a classic style. This very drinkable ale pops with flavor — pleasant raisin and toasty malt characteristics complemented by floral English hops and a dry finish.

The Mild is conditioned in a firkin as well; aged with a blend of French and American oak spirals and with more East Kent Golding hops to the finish.

The Cranberry Citrus Session is a refreshing, holiday-inspired session ale brewed with Vienna and Munich malts, which provide the perfect backdrop to the kick from the cranberry and dried orange peel additions. The festive flare and easy drinking nature of this beer is sure to spread holiday cheer.

Spangalang, which derives its name from an essential cymbal pattern in jazz, is proud to be a part of the ever-growing culture in Five Points – one that celebrates a rich history in music.
