Happy 5th anniversary to The Muse Performance Space in Lafayette, Colorado. Opening a jazz venue is a daunting notion, so when Clare Church and Pete Lewis took steps and launched The Muse in 2019, it was a leap of faith and a ton of hard work. They survived the pandemic, and have since hosted many concerts, intimate gatherings, jam sessions, recordings, international music, receptions, and a wide variety of musical merriment. Their schedule for the rest of the year is packed with debuts, artistic experiments, holiday shows, and more. Artists need venues and audiences need music. So let’s keep our venues going strong. Go see a show! And congrats to The Muse Performance Space in Lafayette. (SOURCE: Muse Performance Space)

Merry Old London is home to Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in the Soho entertainment district, and Ronnie Scott’s marks its 65th year of continuous operation. The British jazz tenor saxophonist founded the club in 1959. To quote Scott himself from the billboard outside the club, “I love this place, it’s just like home, filthy and full of strangers.” (BBC radio story on Ronnie Scott’s 65th anniversary)
