Denver Arts & Venues has announced open nominations for the Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in Arts & Culture. They’re looking for programs, individuals, and organizations that make significant and lasting contributions to the artistic, cultural, and creative landscape in the City and County.

The five categories are for youth aged 14 and up, for at least a decade of Arts & Culture impact in Denver, as well as for global impact, innovation, and the JEDI category – which stands for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Winners receive a $2,500 stipend, a video highlight reel, and hardware – a piece of artwork created by Access Gallery, including a commemorative plaque, plus an award luncheon in December.

Nominations are being accepted through Friday, July 5, but the city is accepting applications through, July 28.

Details are available online at ArtsandVenues (dot) com (slash) Mayors Awards. (SOURCE: Arts and Venues.)
