Jazz News: Jaleel Shaw’s “Echoes” to Library of Congress pandemic collection
The Library of Congress is gathering various artistic responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, and saxophonist Jaleel Shaw’s 2021 solo saxophone album “Echoes” was added to the Performing Arts COVID-19 Response Collection, which includes scores, scripts, audio and video files, promotional materials, design materials, correspondence, safety protocols, and oral histories. The Library of Congress Music Division will build the collection over the next few years.
