KUVO Jazz wraps up Jazz Appreciation Month with its Spring Membership Campaign, and you will be treated to even more LIVE music. Because, after all, Jazz is LIVE!

During this Spring Pledge Drive (Thursday, April 26 through Friday, May 4), we’ll spotlight recordings made in KUVO’s Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio (from an archive of around 1,200 sessions!), and from Blue Note clubs around the world, jazz venues in the Northwest US, and past International Jazz Day recordings.

But wait, there’s more! KUVO Studio Club members (and listeners) have three opportunities over the next couple of weeks to take in live jazz. Singer Robert Johnson & the Mark Diamond Trio plays at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30 (International Jazz Day), the trumpet-led Gabriel Mervine Band plays at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, and the Annie Booth Trio visits for a late morning set at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 3.

(There’s a bonus on Friday night, May 4, to celebrate the end of our Spring Campaign. The Latin Soul Party is preparing for a live broadcast performance from Denver’s Soul Sacrifice. We’ll tell you more about that later.) Studio Club Members, please contact Arvida arvida@kuvo.org to reserve seats for these performances.

If you’re listening carefully during the Spring Campaign, you’ll also notice the premiums for your gift to KUVO could be a live CD of classic live jazz or tickets to one of Colorado’s many summer jazz festivals. All the benefits of your KUVO membership are posted HERE.
