Jazz Goes to the Movies on the Night Beat with Doug Crane

If it’s February, it means it’s once again time for  host Doug Crane’s annual “Jazz Goes to the Movies” feature on The Night Beat Jazz Beyond Category. In past years Doug focused on different film genres, composers, locales, Oscar winners etc. He’s tossing all of that out for 2018. This year it’s film music without category.

It’s week two of “Jazz Goes to the Movies” with music from Spartacus, Cars, Valley of the Dolls, The Young Girls of Rochefort and more.  We’ll also note the birthdays of Rob McConnell and Maceo Parker plus toss in a couple of tunes for Valentine’s Day.
