Our next Influenced takes the “Way Back Machine” to the music of the ’60s.

In an era between the Beatniks and the Hippies, there was a stylish groovy time with it’s own musicality. Many a Jazz musician found a new source of songs to make their own arrangements of.

The Great American Songbook, while still popular now had a bit of competition from Burt Bacharach, Lee Hazelwood, Lulu, and Lennon/McCartney to name a few.

Not psychedelic but GROOVY BABY right after The Monday Night Jazz Odyssey at midnight.
