Influenced – Digable Planets

The legendary Digable Planets are in town!

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the release of their influential debut album, “Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time and Space)” Digable Planets have gathered together again to tour in observance.

Kassa Overall (drummer and producer) is slated to open the show.

“Reachin’” influenced Jazz and Hip Hop alike and this influence is still pervasive.

The January 23 episode of “Influenced” will take an in depth dive into the music from the album as well as the music sampled to be used on the album in their original form.

Digable Planets will be at The Ogden Theatre on Tuesday, January 30 at 8 p.m. for a show destined to sell out.

Don’t miss Inflenced TONIGHT at midnight right after The Jazz Odyssey with Abi Clark and Andy O’. Special guests from our sister station THE DROP 104.7 FM will join us as we break down the jazz samples used on this Hip-hop album.
