Imagine living in New York City and being a massively talented young guitarist. Such is the world of Aleksi Glick, New York second generation musician. You essentially don’t have time to imagine it because you are always busy playing.

In demand and constantly working with people like Roberta Flack, Paul Bollenback, Peter Bernstein, Vic Juris, J Hoard, Jersey Boys, The Seth Weaver Big Band, his own (funk/soul group) Snack Cat along with so many more. Aleksi has worked with major labels, indie labels as well as publishing companies. He also writes music for movie and television soundtracks.

Somewhere amid all that, you make and record your musical endeavors.

Aleksi Glick’s new album is “World Traveler”, written and recorded throughout his many travels. Some standout tracks are “She Told Me”, a poignant and pretty vocal by Laureana, and “Leaving LA”, which also features the same vocalist – a perfect mesh with Aleksi’s stellar guitar work.

Amidst his busy and creative schedule, Abi and Andy got a chance to talk with him about his career, his influences, and journey building his own unique sound as well as a deep dive into his new album “World Traveler.”
