Holidays with the Hosts: Christmas with Debra Gallegos of Canción Mexicana

The holidays are here and KUVO is happy to once again bring you Holidays with the Hosts. Debra Gallegos from Canción Mexicana was gracious enough to let me pick her brain regarding some great memories that she had from Christmas’ past.

Debra shared a Las Posadas story with me; (Las Posadas  is a novenario (nine days of religious observance) celebrated chiefly in Latin America, Mexico, Guatemala, and Cuba, and by Hispanics in the U.S. beginning on the 16th of December and ending on the 24th of December, and by  people who personally identify with the culture and holiday of the Mexican and Spanish people.)

She also talked about the old May D & F in Downtown Denver, a special dish made by her mom and more.
