High School/Collegiate Series: Denver South High Jazz Combo LIVE on KUVO
Next on KUVO’s High School / Collegiate Performance Series, it’s the Denver South High School Jazz Combo, on Tuesday, March 7 at 7 pm, under the direction of Kyle Dobbins.

The Denver South High School Jazz Combo performs a wide variety of jazz standards and charts from all eras and backgrounds of jazz. The combo is one of the most active performing ensembles at South High School and has performed throughout Denver and the surrounding area. In addition to their regular performances, they have participated in Jazz Festivals in Denver and Chicago, and the Combo will perform again at the 2023 Greeley Jazz Festival on April 22. Students choose most of the music they perform, and the ensemble is open to any and all instruments. Seniors in the ensemble this year include Max Piccolo on baritone saxophone, Nick Diones on guitar, Joey Najjar on drums, and the only four-year member of the ensemble, Miles Overby on bass.

This event will be broadcast LIVE from the Masterpiece Studio, with room for a full audience of parents and supporters, as well as KUVO Studio Club and Beat Collective members.
