Gospel Train – Salute to Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday
Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday was on January 15 and The Gospel Train will salute him by featuring music to begin our travels throughout Black History Month.
Focused on historic music from Ray Charles, “God Bless America,” spirituals featuring Sisters of Glory, the soundtrack of Martin, “We Shall Overcome,” and “All I Want to be is Understood,” Aretha Franklin’s, “Precious Lord,” and Mahalia Jackson’s “Amazing Grace.”
Tune in and get on board the Gospel Train for a great celebration of the freedom ride with host Deborah Walker on Sunday, January 17, at 8 am on KUVO JAZZ.
