“Funky Boombox” | Friday Nights

Tune in Friday nights at 10pm, for the “Funky Boombox,” hosted by Rob Seligmann. The features a blend of classic mostly 70’s soul and the best of the new wave of R & B artists on the scene today. Think Donny Hathaway meets Charles Bradley, Aretha Franklin meets Sharon Jones. It’s a showcase for Al Green and Ann Peebles, as well as new soul from Aloe Blacc and Andra Day.

Seligmann, a one-time record store owner, still has his “ear” for the “get down” tracks, old and new.  It’s fun and it’s funky! “Funky Boombox,” Fridays, 10:00pm to midnight on KUVO.
