Freddy Cole at Dazzle Jazz | July 23 & 24
With a career spanning more than 50 years, Freddy Cole sounds a lot like his legendary brother Nat King Cole, but with his own darker, smokier, and jazzier vocal personality.
Cole will be in the studio July 22 at 2:30 PM for an interview with Susan Gatschet about his upcoming performances at Dazzle Jazz later this week.
Cole debuted in 1952 with the single “The Joke’s on Me” and has since gaining a broad homegrown and international following.
Inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2007, Cole was nominated for a Grammy for Best Vocal Jazz Album in 2010.
Cole leads the Freddy Cole Quartet – featuring Randy Napoleon (guitar), Quentin Baxter (drums) and Elias Bailey (bass) – which regularly tours throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America.
