interview with Beverly Grant

The Five Points Farmers Market opens this Saturday during the Juneteenth Music Festival.  Beverly Grant from MoBetta Green Marketplace visited “First Take with Lando and Chavis” to announce the 2014 location for the market, Sonny Lawson Plaza, at 24th and Welton.

When Grant says it features fresh, organic produce,  she means really fresh.  “It will be picked the day before,” said Grant.  “We’ve got an abundance of flavor and nutrient value.  My goal is to work with a handful of local farms to bring our neighborhood the best food I can find.”

Also this season, Mo’ Betta Green MarketPlace is being recognized as a green business by Van Jones’ clean energy advocacy movement Green for All.
