Two performances at 7pm on both Wednesday September 4th and Thursday September 5th nights.

From Dave: “I first met Wycliffe backstage at a Wynton Marsalis concert and then had the honor to play with him several times including at the Vail jazz party with some different groups. Wycliffe is an amazing musician, on several fronts from his complete mastery of the trombone to slide trumpet and Tuba! Wycliffe embodies jazz from the beginning to the present and it is evident in his playing and singing. The quartet is looking forward to exploring a funkier side of Wycliffe Gordon as per his request!”

Wycliffe Gordon is a former veteran member of the Wynton Marsalis Septet, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and has been a featured guest artist on Billy Taylor’s “Jazz at the Kennedy Center” Series. Gordon is also one of Americaʼs most persuasive and committed music educators, and currently serves as Artist-in-Residence at Augusta University in Augusta, GA.
