Tim Wendel is a versatile guitarist, composer, and educator who cut his teeth in the Philadelphia jazz scene, where he was an accomplished leader and sideman for 10 years. Tim has performed at Carnegie Hall, toured the east coast and Rocky Mountain region with original rock, funk, jazz, and classical projects, as well as traveled the entire United States as a member of the Broadway National Tour of The Color Purple. He has performed with notable jazz luminaries as Dave Liebman, Dave Douglas, Ralph Alessi, Art Lande, and Jaleel Shaw, among others.
Andres Orco is a guitarist, composer, and teacher from Venezuela. He was shared the stage with some of Denver’s best musicians, including John Gunther, Victor Mestas, and Annie Booth. He has played in national and international jazz festivals, including the Panama Jazz Festival and the Denver Five Points Jazz Festival.
An audience member once dubbed Tim and Andres’ sound “guitar harpsichords.” The duo create pieces that draw from jazz, avant-garde, and chamber music, weaving together vignettes that blur the line between melody, harmony, and solo improvisation.
