Taylor Clay and his Quartet return to the Nocturne stage to perform Taylor’s newest original compositions which are a culmination of his experiences and influences as a modern musician in Denver. These compositions with modern harmonic nuance and thought-provoking melodies, reflect Taylor’s complex musical identity and his deep respect of the jazz tradition. This collection of original music will be brought to life by an excellent collection of forward thinking Denver jazz artists including: Jack Dunlevie on piano, Seth Lewis on bass and Alejandro Castaño on drums.
Taylor Clay was born in Brooklyn, NY and began his musical journeys at the age of 13 and went on to study at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY. After completing his degree in Music Performance in 2012, he moved to Colorado to attend the University of Northern Colorado as a graduate student and teaching assistant. Taylor currently lives in Denver, Colorado and works as a busy freelance musician.
