The Brainchild of bandleader Joe Smith, The Roots Groove is an immersive jazz and roots music experience, incorporating amazing music, delectable food, socializing, and dancing. This is an experience unlike anything you’ve experienced in Denver. Pulling inspiration from rent parties of the 1920-30’s, this show features a special food menu, prepared by Joe Smith, music from Joe Smith & The Spicy Pickles, with special guest vocalist Franny Rubin, all with the intent of building community.

Joe Smith & The Spicy Pickles is a Denver based jazz and roots band featuring some of Denver’s best young jazz musicians. The band’s brine contains the following: 30’s/40’s swing music, Rhythm & Blues, Gin, Funk, and Soul.
