In homage to the “Queen of Tejano Music,” the Colorado Symphony, under the direction of Resident Conductor Christopher Dragon, brings the iconic music of Selena Quintanilla to life backed by a full, world-class symphony orchestra and featuring the return of sensational soloist Isabel Sánchez.
Isabel Sánchez – An acclaimed recording artist, vocalist, and experienced performer, Sánchez returns to the Boettcher Concert Hall stage in The Music of Selena. Formerly a contestant on Telemundo’s La Voz Kids, she currently records for Q-Zone Records, the label founded and owned by Abraham Quintanilla, Selena’s father. She was recently honored to receive the Texas House Member’s Resolution for her contribution to the arts/community service and leadership in the Latino Community on the house floor at the State Capitol in Austin. At her young age Isabel Marie became the youngest and first Tejano artist to ever have three songs in rotation at the same time listed in the top 20 for the nationally syndicated bilingual show- Tejano Gold Countdown.
