Join us for a swinging night with the inimitable David Mesquitic Trio, celebrating the release of his new album, The Trio: Volume 1. David will be joined by an all-star lineup all the way from Austin, Texas: Daniel Dufor (drums) and Ryan Hagler (bass). Honoring the tradition of iconic piano trios from bandleaders such as Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, and Jeff Hamilton while still remaining fresh and modern, an evening with this band promises to be an unforgettable, swingin’ affair.

Award winning pianist David Mesquitic is a composer and educator committed to the intergenerational transfer of the knowledge, history, and traditions of jazz. Mesquitic currently teaches at the University of Wyoming as Lecturer in Jazz Piano where he also maintains a schedule performing with his trio, adjudicating, and commissioning music throughout the year. Mesquitic holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Texas at Austin where he was awarded the 2022 Eleanor Alexander Stripling Award for Excellence in Jazz Studies. Mesquitic’s artistry has also been recognized as a receipt of the 2024 United States Air Force Band Diversity Fellowship.
