Tamir Hendelman honors two great composers who recently left us: Johnny Mandel and Ennio Morricone. “A Time For Love”, “The Shadow of Your Smile”, “Once Upon A Time in America,” “Emily”- evoke a golden era of songwriting and film music these masters epitomized.
Johnny Mandel and Ennio Moriccone. Two giants of cinematic music on Saturday, August 1 at 7-8pm MDT and 6-7pm PT.
Johnny was also a master arranger and composer of beautiful standards, with a rich harmonic language. I was fortunate to know him, make music with him and record his music. It will be a pleasure to dig into his gorgeous music.
Ennio Morricone-an Italian master. Legend of 1900- and of course, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly – just a few of the classic scores written by this master of simplicity who could make an orchestra murmur like no other.
