A note from Tamir:
Dear friends,
Hope you’ll join me in a tribute to Cole Porter. Born June 9, 1891, he was one of the musical and lyrical giants of the Great American Songbook. Prolific (he wrote 300 songs while in Yale) and sophisticated, his Broadway hits caught new life in recordings by Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, Rosemary Clooney and Frank Sinatra.
Cole Porter wrote so many great standards, that have invited unique interpretations: “What is this thing called love? I Concentrate on You. Every time We Say Goodbye.” I have played a solo tribute to his music on my tours, and am looking forward to sharing one with you all.
