“Mike Pagán‘s Back in Denver” performs for Studio Club in the Phyllis A. Greer Studio on Friday, October 4 from 2 to 3pm. This gathering of musicians is two groups rolled into one. Pianist Michael Pagán, who was on the Colorado music scene for many years and these days a busy player in Kansas City. Pagán will be joined by vocalist Teresa Carroll, Doug Walter on vibraphones, and Brian Casey on bass.
As a composer/arranger he has produced a lengthy number of works, mostly in the jazz idiom, garnering critical acclaim, including a 5-star review from the The Irish Times (Dublin) for his Colorado big band recording Pag’s Groove. He can be heard on the ARC, Cadence, Dutch Music Partners, and the Colorado-based Capri and Tapestry labels and his music is published by Dutch Music Partners and UNC Jazz Press.

Mike Pagán will re-unite with his old jazz duo colleague, vibraphonist Doug Walter, who is professor of percussion at CU-Boulder. They will be joined by bassist Brian Casey and perform at Muse Performance Space on Saturday, October 5 at 7pm.
