Fun Facts About the Show
— Our production is directed by Kenny Moten, with choreography by Jessica Hindsley and music direction by Jordan Ortman. This all-star team was also behind last winter’s Henry nominated production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
— Cinderella was the only Rodgers and Hammerstein musical written for TV. It was originally broadcast on March 31, 1957!
— You’re probably most familiar with the 1997 film, which featured singer Brandy as Ella and Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother.
In the world of the Arvada Center’s production, this fairytale kingdom has some modern updates and sensibilities, with knights riding hoverboards and townspeople using cell phones. Director Kenny Moten imagines a fantasy universe filled with totally creative costumes and technological anachronism!
