Riley Williams double drummer birthday throw down at the Muse Performance Space.

Denver based drummer and producer, Riley Williams brings his quartet to the muse for a night of jazz and birthday celebration.

Riley is a student at MSU Denver, studying Jazz and American improvised music with Dru Heller, Ron Miles, Dawn Clement and Shane Endsley among others in the faculty. Riley’s drumming is heavily informed by the masters like Philly Joe Jones, Tony Williams, Art Blakey and Kenny Washington while also channeling the styles and concepts of great hip hop producers like Madlib, J Dilla and The RZA.

The band will feature Gabe Mangione on drums, Ike Spivak on sax and Spencer Zweifel on organ. The quartet will play originals and standards with some extra drummer goodness.

Muse is open for live audiences up to 50 people. Beer, wine, sparkling water, and snacks are available. Please feel free to bring in food from some of the may fine restaurants in Lafayette! For the immediate future, all shows will continue to be live-streamed on both facebook Live and YouTube Live.
