Revival is a call to action and a return to creating, finding, and connecting community.
Reflect and reconnect as a community in shared experiences that are joyful, moving, intentional, and thought-provoking.
NU-World Contemporary Danse Theatre (NWCDT) is a 501(C)(3) black-founded and black-directed contemporary dance company that strives to hold on to humanity through the stories we tell through dance. We believe dance is a tool for healing, communication, and inspiration.
NWCDT was founded in 2006 by Christopher Page-Sanders in St. Louis, Missouri, and reestablished in 2016 in Denver, Colorado, under the artistic direction of Christopher and Bashir-Muhammad, both of whom are former dancers of the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble. In wanting to create intentional and thought-provoking work, work that at its core centers within the experiences of the African diaspora, this diverse and multi-generational dance company hopes to be a light to our community, allowing audiences to see humanity reflected on stage.
