On Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 4 p.m., KUVO’s performance series “On Stage” shows a few ways the guitar steps out in front of a jazz or blues band.

In 2018, KUVO hosted a wide variety of guitar-led ensembles, including flamenco sensation Miguel Espinoza and the Santana-inspired playing of Steve Glotzer with Soul Sacrifice.  The blues were at home in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio when David Booker brought his trio last summer, and few can approach the vintage sound of Felonius Smith and his National slide guitar.  We’ll even present some Dale Bruning guitar work from an earlier P.A.G. session.
