Miguel Espinoza Flamenco Fusion performs to sold-out audiences a broad fusion of Flamenco with European and Indian classical, Afro-Caribbean music, and Jazz that has been described as “melodic, passionate, [and] intricate original compositions.”
Joining Miguel is a truly all-star collection of musicians from a variety of musical heritages. On saxophone and percussion is Origin Arts recording artist and Grammy Nominated jazz educator Lynn Baker. Cellist Dianne Betkowski brings her acclaimed classical music experiences, having performed in the Utah, St. Louis, and Honolulu Symphony orchestras and is the founder and former director of Denver Eclectic Concerts. Adding the bottom is fretless electric bassist Randy Hoepker. Randy brings with him a wide variety of expertise including jazz studies at the University of Northern Iowa, and is the founding music director of Colorado Brass. Rounding out the ensemble is percussionist Andy Skellenger who contributes elements from Indian Classical Music and the drumming traditions of Peru,Cuba, and Spain on tabla and cajon.
