Max Light is a New York City based jazz guitarist and composer. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the New England Conservatory and his Master’s from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. He won 2nd place in the 2019 Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz International Guitar Competition and his debut trio recording, “Herplusme,” was released in early 2020 on Red Piano Records. Max has performed and recorded with Noah Preminger, Donny McCaslin, Jason Palmer, John Ellis, Dan Weiss, Colin Stranahan, Adam Deitch, Kevin Sun, and Bobby Watson among others.
