A master of the tenor saxophone and an icon of the Denver jazz scene, Keith Oxman presents his latest album Two Cigarettes in the Dark , featuring original compositions and tunes from the likes of Hank Mobley and Johnny Griffin.
“Keith Oxman is a young man of great consequence. He has learned to function with one foot in the present and the other in the future, while leaning quite heavily in the direction of the future.”
– Benny Golson
Keith Oxman presents his latest album Two Cigarettes in the Dark, featuring original compositions and tunes from the likes of Hank Mobley and Johnny Griffin. Following in the same fashion as his 2018 release Glimpses, in which he teamed up with fellow saxophonist Dave Liebman, Two Cigarettes in the Dark sees Oxman joining forces with yet another tenor legend, Houston Person, as well as vocalist Annette Murrell. The album marks Oxman’s eleventh release on Colorado-based Capri Records, founded and curated by Tom Burns. Join us in celebrating the newest release from one of Denver’s finest performers and educators.
