Vail Square, Jazz Tent Headliner Series

Born in France, Julien was influenced by traditional folk music and the melodic, lyrical quality of the French chanson. After graduating from the Marseille Conservatory of Music, and having advanced degrees in classical music, jazz studies, and composition, he began winning international awards and today is recognized as among the foremost accordion and bandoneon players in both the classical and jazz genres. His playing, composing, and arranging have earned him international acclaim. Julien returns to Vail with an all-star band to pay homage to the legendary Django Reinhardt, the founder of the Hot Club of France, and a style of jazz that has been embraced worldwide.
