Former Denver resident John Lake is a trumpet player, composer, and educator now living in Brooklyn, NY. His debut album “Seven Angels” (Outside In Music) was released in 2018 to critical acclaim, and will be followed in January 2024 with his septet release, “Ensemble | in situ” (Bandstand Presents).

John is a fixture of the NYC big band scene, performing regularly with Steven Feifke, Eyal Vilner, Charlie Rosen’s 8-Bit Big Band, Birdland Big Band, Revive Big Band, Sam Blakeslee, Danny Jonokuchi, and Brian Krock.
