The Gift of Jazz introduces new online courses and is very pleased to announce that Peter Stoltzman will be leading their Saturday classes this semester.

Saturdays 1:00 pm – 2:15 pm – Advanced Jazz Theory in Improvisation: Concepts and Practices to Build Awesome Solos

We will unpack advanced improvisational strategies, including playing outside the changes, rhythmic motivic development, instrument-specific flourishes, and building momentum over multiple choruses. Students will transcribe and analyze solos by jazz masters, compose their own solos, and record themselves improvising and receive feedback from the instructor.
