What makes a song great? Exquisite music plus amazing lyrics. Composers often have continuing collaborations with certain lyricists and together have produced the music we all love. As our composer series continues this year, tonight we celebrate some of those collaborations: Dorothy Fields with Jimmy McHugh; Alan/Marilyn Bergman with Michel Legrand; Gene Lees with “Tom” Jobim to name a few.
