Remember Alamo: The Navajo Nation’s Stepchild “Save The Well.”
Rekha Ohal is working with Colorado Native Outreach Project to raise funds in order to repair the well at Alamo. Currently the residents drive approximately an hour every other day to fill barrels with water for their daily needs. They have a well, but the well is currently in need of repairs.
With the generous help of Colorado Schools of Mines, who have assessed the situation and will do the work, we are aiming to raise $5000 for the necessary materials to make the well functional again.
Please join us for a fundraising event on September 25, 2021, from noon to three, featuring the delightful musical stylings of Adam Bodine. There you will learn more about the project and get to hear from Irene Betsuie, founder of Colorado Native Outreach Project. Fabulous food will be available off the Dazzle menu.
Thank you to the Adam Bodine Trio for providing music for an afternoon get together. And Erica Brown for lending a voice.
Please donate generously to the Colorado Native Outreach Project.
