Presenting a sound rooted in jazz and classical traditions with a contemporary cinematic flare and fearless personal style, The Eli Baumgarten Trio is led by young composer and pianist Eli Baumgarten. Eli is a recent graduate from the CU Boulder Thompson Jazz Studies Program, and he studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Australia. You will hear from Eli’s debut EP entitled “Into Nowhere”, inspired by travels abroad and their interplay with the journey of life, alongside more of his original music written throughout the years. Eli’s music combines story-like arrangements, gritty grooves, and improvisational prowess among the trio to create an enchanting sound that evokes a striking sense of time and place.
