Originally from Seattle and now based in Denver, Domi Edson is a jazz bassist, composer, and educator. Domi has performed at Dazzle, Nocturne, Seattle radio station KNKX, and at multiple Jazz Education Network conferences. As a side woman, she has performed with artists such as Gregory Gisbert, Tia Fuller, Ben Markley, Kurt Berg, and Jim White. In 2021 she was awarded the David Baker scholarship for her talent, spirit, and commitment to the field of jazz studies. Consisting of both original compositions and arrangements of jazz standards, Domi released her debut album “Without the Re” in 2021. For this show,
