The Denver South High School Jazz Combo performs a wide variety of jazz standards and charts from all eras and backgrounds of jazz. The combo is one of the most active performing ensembles at South High School and has performed throughout Denver and the surrounding area. In addition to their regular performances, they have participated in Jazz Festivals in Greeley, Denver, and Chicago.

Students choose most of the music they perform, and the ensemble is open to any and all instruments. Seniors this year in the ensemble include Max Piccolo on Baritone Saxophone, Nick Diones on Guitar, Joey Najjar on Drums, and the only four-year member of the ensemble, Miles Overby on Bass.
